Who we are

House of Boniwe is the "responsible party" for your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA, 2013).

What we collect

Your name and contact details, ID number, date of birth, demographic information, address, qualification and employment details, and your learning activity, attendance and assessment records.

Why we collect it

  • To deliver your accredited training and support your learning and any workplace placement.
  • To register and report you to AgriSETA, the QCTO and SAQA (the National Learners’ Records Database), as required by law.
  • To meet our funding, audit and quality-assurance obligations.

Who we share it with

AgriSETA, the QCTO and SAQA for accreditation and reporting; your employer or host where you are on a workplace placement; and the secure systems that run this platform on our instructions. We do not sell your information.

How long we keep it

We keep your learner records for at least five years, as required for SETA and SARS audit, after which they are deleted or de-identified.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your information (subject to records we must keep by law). To do so, contact House of Boniwe’s Information Officer. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa): enquiries@inforegulator.org.za, 010 023 5200.

Your agreement

By accepting, you confirm that you have read this notice and agree to House of Boniwe processing your personal information for the purposes above, including the reporting required by law.

Summary

Your separate, optional consent for us to collect your population group and disability status for the equity reporting AgriSETA and the QCTO require.

Full policy

Some of your information is "special personal information" under POPIA and needs your separate, explicit consent: your population group and disability status.

We collect these only for the equity reporting that AgriSETA and the QCTO require for accredited training, and to provide any support you may need. They are not used for any other purpose and are not shared beyond that reporting.

This consent is optional. You may decline, and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting House of Boniwe’s Information Officer.

By accepting, you consent to House of Boniwe collecting and processing your population group and disability status for the equity reporting described above.
